Lola and JuJu were our first residents at Pandanwal, arriving in November of 2018. These little cuties arrived together from auction very, very sick. Lola had Potomac horse fever. She felt rotten and was miserable. We do not know her history, but based on how she behaved when she got here, it is safe to say that she was not treated very nicely. She is estimated to be in her late teens, perhaps early 20s. Lola has come a long way. She is healthy and happy and some times enjoys visitors.

Jubilee (JuJu) was also very sick, but with a bacteria commonly found in cows. It was challenging for our vet to diagnose her condition and cultures had to be sent to Cornell University. Thankfully, once diagnosed, a direct treatment plan had JuJu on the path to a full recovery. When she came to us, JuJu had registration from the American Miniature Horse Association. We knew who she was and were able to track down her former owners. Her last owner was devastated to hear that JuJu was sold at auction. The former owner had given 4 of her miniature horses to a man just weeks before who promised to find them a good home with children. Thankfully, Jubilee is safe at Pandanwal. She is now 10 years old and is as sassy as she is adorable.
