Meredith

Meredith is a large pony who came to Pandanwal in January of 2021 when a generous couple bought her from a broker. She was thin and was very lame on her front left. She was also unusually stoic. When our vet evaluated her, we learned that Meredith has both high and low ringbone which can be very painful. There is no cure. To help Mere be more comfortable, we make sure that we do not let her get overweight and she gets a prescription NSAID every day. Some days the medication does not help and it is painful for her to walk. Also, she cannot stand on her left foot, which makes it very challenging to get her right foot trimmed well. It is a challenging situation at times. We do our best to keep our girl happy and comfortable.
