Stroe was rescue from auction in 2018 by our friends at Tri-State Equine Adoption and Rescue. He was scared, sick, and thin. After quarantine and rehab, Stroe joined the residents at Pandanwal in early 2019. We do not know much about his past life, except that his front teeth are worn down from cribbing. Because of the condition of his teeth, it is difficult to determine how old he is. We estimate Stroe to be close to 30. For his age, he is in pretty good shape, aside from having Cushings. Unfortunately, Stroe doesn’t respond to medication used to treat his condition. We manage his diet and clip him several times during warm weather and make sure his feet are in good shape. Stroe is a sweet, happy, loving old gentleman who enjoys the company of people more than other horses.
